Pros
Aldi has good benefits and pays slightly more than retail competitors
Cons
The productivity standards are unrealistic and stressful, also if a co worker called out I would often be called, when I started Aldi said I would get at least 1 sat/sun off 2 weeks of the month, never happened unless I requested off and even with a request off I would still be called on by co workers. I also told my management I have a limited schedule due to college and I was unable to work more than 25 hours a week, however I was scheduled for nearly 35-37 a week despite communicating this multiple times in writing to management. Aldi also has strict rules and I was not allowed to have my phone on the sales floor despite needing it for some work related tasks (eg calculator and calendar.) Aldi also has mandatory meetings once every quarter at 4am… most of the information can be stated in an email or a handout provided at a shift, overall bad management and leadership, I would not recommend.
