Pros

DAC has continued to evolve and learns from the feedback of employees. It is a great place to work where your opinions and feedback are heard and action is taken. There are a lot of perks to working at DAC such as free breakfast and snacks. DAC utilizes the latest technologies and encourages creative thinking to solve complex problems. There is a lot of opportunity to learn from some great minds in the tech department and to grow your skills more rapidly than you would elsewhere. DAC is flexible, they give employees the freedom they need when they need it and they recognize hard work and reward it.

Cons

DAC can have tight deadlines that need to be met but there are also calm periods to even things out.

Pros

Literally the only pro was the free breakfast, cheese, and crackers. And meeting some really cool people.

Cons

The benefits were mediocre... High turnover rate, no room to "grow", no proper onboarding, and they expect you to work long hours. Trying to work from home was like pulling teeth with my manager. They didn't like working from home (plus you could tell they just didn't trust you so micromanaging was expected), so they expected you to always be in the office while other teams had the flexibility of working from home.

Pros

Some pros include: - daily breakfast and snacks - near the 401 and subway - MOST people where a treat to work with

Cons

- Benefits are horrendous - No work from home ( even though they say they do) - 4 weeks personal time off ( this includes sick days) - no pension - company is run by employees who have been with them for 15+ years - they say be open and communicate and then will get rid of those employees

Thank you for your comment. I see you are a current employee. I would encourage you to come and speak to me about your concerns. Until then, let me address a few points. From our employee survey we hear positive things about our benefits. Most people find 4 weeks PTO a positive benefit. Along with the free catered breakfasts and lunches every day, DAC U and other features %E2%80%93 the commentary about benefits are typically strong. As for flexible work environment %E2%80%93 it is true, some positions are required to be on site. However, we have many staff that work from home on a part time or permanent basis. We have several staff that actually work in different provinces and states. And while it is true we don%E2%80%99t offer a pension, we do offer profit sharing where staff can use that money towards a RRSP. Again, I would encourage you to come talk to me directly so that your voice can help us better our work environment.

Pros

Everyone in the office, myself included, is always happy to come to work every day! Fully stocked kitchen, free breakfast and lunch, food ordered in often to treat the team, after-work get togethers, collective lunch breaks, fun meetings to get the team excited for the week ahead, celebrations for big and small wins... I could go on! It is a pleasure to work at DAC for not only what the company does to support the team, but what the team does to support each other.

Cons

Due to COVID-19 precautionary measures, the team works from home on Fridays.

Thank you for your review. As always, we appreciate when current and former employees take the time to leave us some feedback. I am very happy you had a positive experience while at DAC. We also appreciate your perspectives on how we can continue to improve as a workplace. For 2019, we are working on those very points you raised. We are increasing the number of staff activities and doing our best to have senior management a bit more accessible.

Just save your career and don't come to this company

Pros

Free breakfast and snacks before covid, near the subway and free parking

Cons

No proper training for new employees at all. You're expected to work more than 45 hours a week and need to fill the time sheet in 30 mins every single day. The company has fired many loyal employees who have been dedicated themselves more than 10 years since the beginning of this year. That is CRAZY!!! The higher executive team doesn't care about their employees at all, all they want is profit. There's no room for grow and self-improvement either, internal transfer to other team is almost impossible. Just save your time and don't come to DAC! This company is rotting inside. So sad.

Horrible Place to Work

Pros

Cons

Many.....which I will list out. Do not believe these people putting good reviews here, it's all lies! You will regret working here! Claims about caring about their employees but they don't There’s no appreciation for longevity (anniversary bonus getting cut) All during Covid, we worked excessive hours, we we're so swamped and we had zero appreciation. We kept losing people and continued to get more and more work The timesheets going from 37.5 to 40. Very sneakily doing that and expecting people to work longer hours. There was nothing said and they just expected it. They say high performers work 42-45 hours per week, it's their way to get more work out of their employees; however it was expected to work all the time to get work done...50 hours yes, 60 sure, whatever they wanted you have to do. Firing people that are strong women in the company because they are competition. All upper management know nothing and have no idea how to run the company properly. They hire people and there is zero training. Everyone thinks this company is a joke and slowly realizing it while working here...Most new hires quickly see what DAC is like and instead of thinking of it as a career company as many of us used to feel, they use it as a stepping stone for experience and quickly move on to a better company Management lacks insight into the work life balance of their employees and have no compunction to overstep their boundaries. They have no concept of the day to day functioning of their own department Certain Management has curt and rude behaviour which they say is business savvy. All it does is alienates their most valuable resource..the staff. It is detrimental to the companies’ productivity and their mental health. Upper management take advantage of their position and all their staff to do personal jobs for them.
