Thank you for your pros and cons. Sharing what you think we are doing well is nice but sharing what we need to look into helps make us all better. As far as the lack of training, please reach out to your local managers or contact HR so we can get you in the many classes we and Xerox offers and help you continue with your personal development.

Pros

Warm, fuzzy, family feeling when they bring you in the door. You think this could be the place you want to stay a while.

Cons

Poor sales territories, once you find an area with some sales leads, territories are changed and the 'favorites' move in. Service morale low (Columbus), many techs expressing their active career searches openly in the workplace. Many experienced Sales/Service employees have left for better jobs with better treatment. Only a matter of time before I tell my boss to "take this job and shove it"

Pros

Mileage reimbursement, Expensive insurance rates, you're on your own for motivation, so if you need a boss to compliment you this isn't your job. Occasional bonuses. Inexperienced management leave you on your own Schedule your own calls unless you have multiple escalations moved to you, then you have to put your schedule on hold to follow managers schedule.

Cons

Puppet management (especially Service), managers step on anyone as needed to move ahead, "Yes men" to the front of the line. Bonuses are all subjective, work output and efficiency irrelevant if you're not a managers favorite. Used parts are the mainstay of repairs, typically have to order 3 to find a working 1. Hippocratic management in all departments, advocate being "ethical" unless it effects the company bottom line. Do not receive training on models you're given to work on.
