Pros

A tiny bit of sales training, that might be used in other fields, some small pocket change.

Cons

Worked 12 hour minimum, had to use very dangerously broken and re-repaired equipment that broke down daily, I ended up having to repair the equipment on my own if I wanted to get a job done and be paid for it the same day. Managers expect you to work outside for 10-14 hours even in the Vancouver pouring rain, without a food or bathroom break, you have to hope a homeowner pitied you enough to let you use there bathroom or feed you. The signs all say "make $100-400 per day", even when you can sell over a thousand dollars or services a day, you barely make $100. There system is rigged so you don't make enough to live on, but can't quit because for aeration you get paid daily, I worked 11 hours one day made $6, and windows you get paid weekly. Not a productive way to make money, bad for your health to work those hours with so little pay

Pros

You get a good story to tell your kids/grandkids when they ask you about your worst job Motivation to never work a job like this again

Cons

Work 14-16 hour days for disgusting pay (I worked 14 hour day to make 17$) Deceit, lies, fake positive reviews of company They drive you out far away where you can't easily get home Feel like a prisoner or a slave Forced to lug around 150lb aerator all day in the hot sun, have to ask people to go into their homes if you need to use washroom No benefits, no base wage, terrible treatment

Pros

Literally nothing you cannot get elsewhere

Cons

- Very pyramid scheme-like. You will work loooong hours for POSSIBLY higher than min wage.....we do the grunt-work and management/upper level gets most the money while we make peanuts. This happened to me for 3 days straight before I quit: I technically made $600-700 a day but when you get back to the warehouse they have some sort of BS formula to calculate your actual take home money from your total money made in the day after subtracting the whatever rental fees and whatnot. My actual money earned for each day was roughly $200 and that was WITH the bonus I got for being like the top 3 sales for the day........ - You will get the job without any effort. Handing in your resume is like an attendance or sign in sheet....... - They pay you cash at the end of every night.......for those inexperienced in the workforce: THIS IS A RED FLAG!!! - DO NOT BELIEVE THAT "YOU CAN MAKE $400 A DAY" NONSENSE!!! You will realistically make about $200 if you are lucky AND very good at sales PLUS the bonus that you MIGHT have a CHANCE of getting........realistically you will be making like a few bucks more than min wage....... - You will be out in some random neighbourhood for about 10 hours with NO WASHROOM or water other than what you brought yourself and the generosity of the home owners in the area - ZEEERRROOOO work/life balance!!! By the time you get back to the warehouse to get paid, it's like 9-10. Your body is physically exhausted and sore and all you want to do is shower, shove something in your mouth so that you're not starving, and go to sleep because you have to be at the warehouse again bright and early the next morning......... Seriously, if you're reading this, I would rather work at McDonalds or whatever for min wage....at least there are breaks, air conditioning, not ridiculous hours, possible place for job promotions, a freaking washroom, not as labour and physically intensive, etc........
