Having to contend with a rigid management hierarchy while absorbing endless disingenuous platitudes about a high-trust, high-performance workplace. An endless series of costly and questionable staff restructures leveling blow after blow to continuity, staff morale, productivity, and customer service. A 1950's era mindset about management and staff relationships.

I worked within the Property team where the staff on the frontline were trying to do their best for their stakeholders (Parks, Leisure, Libraries, Community Arts and Development, Corporate Accommodation amongst others). Unfortunately Management - which is very much like an old boys club from the ACC days had no idea how to run a multi billion dollar portfolio - hence the long restructure followed by another one weeks later and its still a joke. Its a very unhappy place - I worked closely with people from different divisions over many years and their are many unhappy people. In the end I left!
