      Avoid at all costs

      Pros

      Above market pay if you manage to bargain well. Get to work with the smartest and brightest minds of the industry. Good benefits package.

      Cons

      Cut throat and toxic work culture. They work you to death, very poor work life balance (or just very bad management with unrealistic expectations?!?). If you are at a junior level, you will be used as a tool and not appreciated. They will push all the work to you while your seniors get all the credit. 'Nice' colleagues are not what they seem...too political, selfish, and gossip is rampant. No chance for promotion at junior levels unless you can prove yourself to senior management or have a boss that really supports your growth. Better to join as a director level as you get more exposure, even then there is no guarantee that you will do well due to the politicking. Yikes!

      Hard working and incredibly collaborative, empowering work culture at Apollo

      Pros

      The hustle culture is definitely still present, in spite of leadership changes, which isn't a bad thing given that the workplace is very collaborative, with managers empowering and trusting their workforce to perform at a high level. Flexibility to work from home as long as you get the job done. Great benefits with very high calibre colleagues across Apollo.

      Cons

      Apollo is going through some rapid changes in its aim for growth, with many new employees and with that a need to cultivate a culture that works. Very ambitious targets with workflow at times feeling like we are adjusting as we go. Start-up feel sometimes but not necessarily a bad thing.
