Responsibilities

• Designing and architecting SUSE based Linux servers, including configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining the highly virtualized Linux environments. The Linux Administrator will also provide assistance to the Linux Technical Lead in setting up and maintaining the configuration management platform from a Linux environment perspective.
• Setup, maintain and support all Linux based platform under SP3d across all environments
• Provide assistance in troubleshooting for all SP3d developers in Linux based environments
• Maintain all Linux base-line configuration in a centralized and controlled environment
• Assist Technical Lead (Linux) in setting up our configuration management platform from a Linux perspective

• Degree Educated
• 5+ years hands on experience with UNIX ( SUSE, Red-Hat, Linux)
• Low level understanding of server development
• Good knowledge of scripting languages and a very high level of competence in developing and maintaining scripts for system administration and automation purposes in an operational environment with effective simplicity and long term ability to support systems is paramount.
• The candidate would have to know how to create scripting or software languages, such as Shell, Perl or C and have proficiency in the application development of UNIX.
• Good understanding and working knowledge in SUSE Linux, including setting up cluster.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a team
• Setup, maintain and support a green-field environment according to Programme schedule
