11/2 - After I submitted my application I was contacted 5 days later by a recruiter for an HR phone screening. During the screening, we discussed the role in more depth, compensation, and my background.
11/20 – Phone interview with the hiring manager.
11/29 – I came in for an onsite interview with four team members (30- minute time slots for each). I was provided a thorough itinerary from the recruiter with each person I would be speaking with, in addition to transportation information and even a few sample questions I should be prepared to answer. There were two peer interviews, one senior peer and one manager. Each team member was on time and came prepared with questions that were different from one another. I did not answer the same question more than once throughout the process.
11/30 – I was contacted via phone by the recruiter who shared the feedback she had received regarding my interviews. I received a written offer the same day.
Overall, this was the best interview process I have ever experienced. All aspects were incredibly streamlined and I was updated regularly throughout the process with a refreshing level of transparency. It is clear that athenahealth takes their hiring process seriously. They were also very flexible regarding my start date and were more than happy to answer all of my questions regarding benefits, salary, etc.
