I applied online. I interviewed at Zühlke in Aug 2022
Interview
First was a get to know session coupled with some HR related questions then face to face interview with a technical person Also includes a managerial round as well. Good thing about the interview process was immediate feedback at the end of each round
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic JavaScript questions. Foundations of JavaScript. Unit testing is a must
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zühlke (New York, NY)
Interview
First interview - Phone interview and asked some questions on React and scrum
Second interview - This was sort of a pair programming session. They provided some client requirements and I had to implement the requirements step by step.
In the email they had provided that I could use either typescript or JavaScript. I chose javascript since the time for the coding test was limited and I could be faster with javascript. In the interview I asked if TDD was optional thinking to write the tests at the end. The answer was, following TDD was up to me.
After the session I was rejected and the feedback was, not following TDD and not using typescript. They should have told me that they prefer me using typescript and TDD at the beginning if following those were critical for them...!!!
You ask a police officer if crossing a road at specific place is a crime. The officer says no. Then you cross the road and the officer arrests you saying you did a crime.
