The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vision Express (Bury St Edmunds, England) in Sept 2017
Interview
I applied online on the 15th August, received a interview confirmation on the 21st. Attended the interview on the 1st September 2017. The interview took around a hour. I was mainly asked about my past experiences in retail, which was on the CV and I was interviewed by one of the managers. Overall it was a pleasant experience, I was informed about the job role and what that involved. I was asked if I had any holidays booked. I left the interview feeling ok about it, but I wasn't counting on
it as I had no experience in this field. During the interview I was informed of when the training days were, one being 4 days after the interview! I was told that I may or may not be invited to a second interview with the director, and possibly asked to attend a trial shift. The day after the interview I received a call back, I was offered the job, bypassing the other steps. The whole process was very quick.
The manager tried to sell the job to me. It felt like they were desperate for new people. I said I don’t exactly enjoy sales and the manager said he will shape me to become a good salesman
interview with store line manager. asked competency based questions and questions about my CV so make sure you revise your cv. not many questions asked about the actual role itself. felt more like a conversation
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Vision Express (Ipswich, England) in Jun 2024
