I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in Dec 2021
Interview
Twice I’ve had their recruiters reach out to me. Twice I made the mistake of entertaining a job there. Shame on me, I know. Here’s what I learned:
They definitely haven’t gotten their act together… like they promised when they reached out for the second time
They couldn’t care less about genuinely getting to know you
Their hiring managers don’t even have the decency to participate in your on-site interview and pass the buck
Their recruitment team has no follow-through, so expect crickets after your interview
If/when you eventually seek an update on your candidacy, don’t expect them to be straight up with you. Instead, they’ll tell you you’re a great fit and you couldn’t have done anything better - then you’ll see the same role advertised again and again

Question 1
Why do you want to work here?
Have you made the presidents club?
Tell me about a time...?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA)
Interview
Interview process was transparent and the recruiter provided clear instructions and expectations along the way. Onsite meeting at HQ was helpful to get a glimpse of the culture and leadership.

Question 1
Where do I excel at in the sales funnel: prospecting, discussions/demo, or closing
Verkada ran fairly routine sales interviews conducted by managers and sales leaders. First interviews are phone calls or meet and greets. The final interview is an on-site with prospective sales team.
It was super unprofessional, they sent me several messages asking for schedule an appointment. After I scheduled, they didn’t even call me. Then , I sent a message to the person who had contact with me, but he has not responded yet.
