I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Verkada in Nov 2021
Interview
Initial phone screen by a recruiter & then a technical interview afterward (interviewer was 5 min late & took a phone call during the interview) . Initially, I thought the technical interview went okay but then I was told I didn't go in-depth enough about topics that are trivial to average work. I explained the topics pretty well but they wanted very intricate details that aren't very relevant to an actual work environment. All in all a good experience but I declined to move forwards.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions over NAT, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTPS/TLS. Be prepared to go into very intricate details over all the above topics such as DORA for DHCP, the nat process, how SSL/TLS works, and be sure to know your buzzwords.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Verkada
Interview
The process from first interview to offer took about a month and a half. They did communicate with me at all times even though there were some delays. Overall the interviews in my opinion were fun and a good challenge. They did also pay for accommodations for the in person interview which was out of town for me.
I applied online. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Aced and progressed through 6+ rounds, Additional VP Round at the final onsite. All to be told I didn’t have enough experience for the position. What a joke of a company.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Verkada (Salt Lake City, UT) in Apr 2026
Interview
The interview process was lengthy, but felt structured and gave me the opportunity to get a feel for the company. It balanced both personality, technical skills, and presentation knowledge equally while also giving you the opportunity to ask questions.
