Vmware conducted the process for hiring both full-time and interns.
First round consisted of aptitude questions of 18 and 22 technical questions.Aptitude questions were primarily testing analytical skills,data interpretation and few quants.Technical questions were from data structures like heap,trees,stack,c++ operator precedence,client server based questions,operating systems,linux,etc.
The second round consisted of a coding challenge - postfix expression evaluation question.Both the first and second round was conducted using Hirepro platform.They shortlisted almost everyone who tried to solve the code.Time duration was 1 hour.
Third round was a bit resume based and testing on your core skills,area of interest.Simple coding problems were asked and I was asked to write code for them(pointer based).Then we had a discussion on my area of interest,OOPS concepts,SDLC,on my intern.,etc.
Fourth round was a short tech interview on my area of interest,only basic questions were asked.Few questions on os were asked.
Fifth round was a HR round where he briefed the role and asked for the willingness to work in a different domain.It was a general HR round but not with typical HR questions.
Then they had a design round for around 10 people where we were given an inventory management system conversation and was asked to draw class diagram,ER diagram.Time duration was 30 minutes.Finally after this the results were announced.
