I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at United Nations (Ciudad de Mexico) in Jan 2016
Interview
email, phone call interview, and in person interview at the office. All pretty standard. Because it was for an unpaid position in mexico city, and unpaid internships are much less popular there than in, say, Canada or the United States, there didn't seem to be a really harsh competition, even though it was a really interesting job.
Skill based interview with 3 interviewers. Asking specfic skill based questions of how you responded to situations, to go deeper from your application answears, to share details of how you have gained skills and would contribute to a team, and why you wish to work in this department specifically
It's based on a competency-based interview, and it went well. It was friendly and informative as well. There are a few of general questions and a few of technical questions. Overall, a good experience.
