      Tools Programmer Interview

      1 Jan 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Montreal, QC
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ubisoft (Montreal, QC) in Feb 2012

      Interview

I applied online on the website, and it took a couple of weeks before I had any news on the subject. Once I had the phone call that my profile was interesting, it was only a matter of days before the whole process completed. There was a phone interview with the recruiter Then there was a skills test to do at home Then there was an interview with the teams interested with my profile. Quickly thereafter there was the negotiation phase, and that was it. Pretty straightforward in my case.

Tests at Ubisoft don't expect you to answer all the questions, there are a lot of questions in many area of the trade in order to highlight your strong points and your weaknesses.

      Interview

Extensive interview process with coding questions and discussion with managers. That is all I have to say - I don't have another thirty words to write but glassdoor is making me write thirty words.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      Montreal, QC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Ubisoft (Montreal, QC) in Oct 2018

      Interview

Applied online, received an email later from one of their recruiters saying that she would like to have a call with me. The experience during the call was really terrible. She completely ignored the description of the role, when I asked her to describe it more to me, she started describing a whole different position they were posting. To make sure, I asked her about the technologies I will be working with, she started to cite any kind of technology that came across her mind. I honestly felt she was angry, or she was having that call with me because some one forced her to do it. She said she will contact me later. I didn't receive anything from her, so I had to contact her gently asking if there were anything new from her side. She said that she called me on the phone and left a vocal message saying that they moved on with other candidates (Although I had already mentioned to her that I was out of Canada those days, and would have been unreachable on my phone, and asked to be contacted on email). One the most terrible experience I had so far.
