Manager and Team Lead asked a series of canned questions including background, specific experience tied to specific needed skill for the job, culture fit questions, allowing me to follow-up with questions about the team structure.
Towards the end of my time at USAA, the job degraded to spreadsheet monitoring and the communication got worse. I believe in fairness and doing what is right; I knew this approach wasn’t getting the lines of business what they needed and wasn’t taking advantage of my talents or analytics. If my boss charged me with finding qualified individuals as we experienced attrition, I was dogged to comply. But I couldn’t drink the USAA Kool-Aid.
