      Instructional Designer Interview

      4 Jul 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Antonio, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at USAA (San Antonio, TX) in Apr 2017

      Interview

I interviewed for 2 full time and 4 contract instructional designer positions. The full time position started with a phone interview with HR after which they sent me a package of all their company benefits designed to get m y hopes up and keep me interested. One full time position consisted of an hour long phone interview with their team, the other full time position interview was onsite with a manager and team member. My qualifications exceeded those described in the job listings both in experience and education- but I am an older worker laid off from a previous 10 yr position.

      Instructional Designer Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at USAA in Mar 2024

      Interview

I had a phone screen with HR, promptly followed with a panel interview. The interview format was pretty standard. One of the panelists mentioned multiple times that they needed to hire someone because they have too much work. It seemed as though they may be overworked so in hindsight, I’m glad I did not receive an offer to work for this company.
