I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at UPS (Hartford, CT) in Nov 2016
Interview
I ended up applying for this job position online. Too much of my surprise I got a call for an interview less than 24 hours after submitting the application. The interview was set a week later at the earliest I could of made it. When I arrived for the interview there were about 15 other applicants in the room. It was a group interview that lasted about 15 minutes. Then there was a brief 1 on 1 interview that lasted about 2 minutes each. I was only asked a few yes or no questions followed by an agreement to do a quick background check (everyone who applies has to take one). I got a call on my phone two days later saying I had the job if I wanted it. I took the job and I started the training the following week. I was told on the phone before going to training to wear work boots and to be shaven from the lips down (no beards allowed if hired). The training was a 4 hours paid group class which mostly involved filling out paperwork, listening to the instructor on company rules and watching a few work related videos. There wasn't much to it other then trying on uniforms near the end. Overall it was an easy job that lasted a little over a month. If you're good in the cold and can lift somewhat heavy boxes you'll be good for the job.
They just asked my name, email address, and address. They did not ask anything about previous experiences or anything. It seemed like they just wanted to know how near/far you stay from the job's location,

The interview process wasn’t to long or too short it was just right it’s pretty straightforward and simple really easy as long as you have an ability to talk properly and process what they are saying to you
