Informal and 50/50 split between behavioral and technical. Consisted of 4 phone calls with various members of the team, starting with director, and then Senior Associate, and then Analyst for the more technical interview.

Application
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at UBS (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
LA team was doing their own recruiting. Started with informal process, several rounds of coffee chats first then a round of technical and brain teasers. Then 3 more rounds after. Nice people overall.
Standard technicals, but not the best culturally. Asked to walk through M&A transaction, as well as mental math. Asked to talk to previous experiences, particularly past technical experience. Very very serious.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mental math IE- a rope burns from two ends at 30 minutes... etc
