I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at UBS (London, England) in Oct 2016
Interview
Notified of "15 minutes competency-based interview". Interview lasted about 25 minutes, then another 20 minutes of just chatting. Very little technical, no "why UBS" and no deals. Hardest question was "give me an example of two companies that you think should merge and why". Wasn't prepared for that and probably cost me the interview. Got back two weeks later notifying me I wasn't progressing.
Went very smoothly. Gave me a case and walked through some technicals. The case was rather long but gave plenty of time to prepare. There are many interesting behaviorals as well.

Interview
The whole process is pretty standard. You have to do a test on your personality so that they can see your fit to UBS culture. Then move on to first round of interview which did take a pretty long time.
Interview process was quite disappointing. The atmosphere felt tense and unwelcoming, and some interviewers came across as disengaged. Communication was not very clear, and the overall experience did not reflect a positive or supportive company culture.
