The interview process in itself was good. I has two rounds of interview with the onsite team.
First round was targeted at assessing my problem solving capabilities, for which I was given an hour and a half. We had basic introductions and question answers for about 20 minutes, and the rest of the time was focused on the problem at hand. I really liked interviewing with the team - the interviewer was incredibly supportive and helped whenever I was stuck.
I was able to clear this round and move to the next round which was more of a soft skills round to assess if I would make a good fit for the team. Again, the interviewer was brilliant and light-hearted. We have a good discussion for an hour, and he seemed to be very excited to have me on board.
And that was it. There was no communication from UBS after that. I tried reaching out to them twice, but no one bothered to respond to my emails. I waited for about two whole months, after which I received an automated message, saying that UBS is no longer recruiting for the role.
This is not all. I had received a similar response for another application I had in process with UBS. Extremely disappointed by the experience. I don't think I would like to apply for UBS again in the future.
