      Marketing Associate Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      Newton, MA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Tripadvisor (Newton, MA) in Apr 2013

      Interview

TA has a very detailed phone screen. Make sure to understand both the company and the role, as well as how your prior experience suits you for the role. Overall, very friendly experience though and a great learning opportunity. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and it made me a better interviewer in the process.

      Marketing Associate Interview

      24 Oct 2011
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Tripadvisor in Feb 2010

      Interview

The interview process is fairly standard. After the initial phone screening, you are required to do a written exercise which tests your analytical skills. If you pass that, you will be required to meet with several directors and analysts for a 1:1 interview. The questions range from analytical questions that pertain to real business problems, to questions about the business itself. Do your research... go online and check out the website. The worst thing you could probably say is, I haven't really looked at the website. Other than that, it's a fairly straightforward interview. They don't try to trick you... they genuinely want you to do well. So relax and be professional, but definitely let your personality come through!

Assuming you saw a drop in traffic for your website, what metrics would you look at to determine where the drop is coming from?
