I applied, got an email and set up an interview. I really enjoyed the interview and was told I would hear back at a certain date. I did not hear back so I sent a follow up email. I did not hear back until quite a while later when I was told the position is no longer advailable but there is a junior level assistant position open and if I wanted to go through and apply. I said of course, as I was very interested in the company! After that, I was "ghosted." I was so dissapointed as I really thought me and the interviewer were on the same page and hit it off. Regardless if I wasn't the right fit, that is fine but where is the communication? A simple email would have sufficed.
