My interview was in two parts, first being the technical round. It was a video call with Game Producers. The focus was on my understanding of Spine animation, my workflow, and the kind of slot games I had worked on. I was asked about the team structure I worked in previously, my role in the animation pipeline, and how I handle feedback and deadlines. For the second round, which was with the Art Director, the conversation was more in-depth and conceptual. We discussed creative problem-solving in animation, the balance of quality and speed, and how I adapt to different art styles.
There wasn’t any test assignment, and both interviews were conducted online. The entire process took about about a week. Everyone I interacted with was respectful, engaging, and seemed genuinely passionate about their work. Even though I was on a break at the time and looking for a job, the process didn’t feel one-sided or dismissive—they took my experience seriously.
