      Software Engineering Interview

      18 Sept 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Minneapolis, MN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Minneapolis, MN) in Feb 2015

      Interview

They initially contacted me asking to set up an interview. This was an easy "let me tell you about the position and here a little about your background" kind of interviews. A couple of weeks later, they contacted me for an onsite interview. They didn't compensate me for travel which was kind of rough, but the interview was all day long. I got to meet with all the different departments. Talk to them about basic computer science questions, nothing very difficult. Everything went very well, or so I thought. They never got back to me about the position. I emailed them 4 times interview and didn't get a single response back. It turns out the my contact person stopped working there, but no one else decided to reach out to me? I also heard of similar stories from others. TERRIBLE company to interview for. Not respectable.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      Eagan, MN
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Eagan, MN) in Oct 2015

      Interview

Quite the experience. They bring in about 15 people per round of interviews. They set aside a lot of time for you to become familiar with the company. Their campus building is quite impressive, and they have some bright and unique employees that make you want to work for Thomson Reuters.
