I had gone to the store, seeking an opportunity to work for them. They hadn't even put up an ad on their website yet but had decided that they needed more employees. They told me that I had to apply online and that I had a sure shot to get the position. The store manager personally spoke to me for a while and asked me to go in the next day with a CV. However, once I went back, she refused to see me and didn't even answer queries regarding why the position hadn't shown up online.

I applied through their website. At the time it was just after the last lockdown and they were implementing their open hiring for Christmas casuals. There was no formal interview process.
