I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Tesco (Dagenham, England)
Interview
I applied on Tesco Careers website, they called me the next day and invited me for interview.
Upon arrival, I along with 3 others were called to employee cafe and asked to fill out very basic English and Maths questions.
Once that was complted we were given a hi visibility jacket and went into the warehouse to do a work sample; move yoghurts and other items from one area to another as fast as you can. We were in two groups of two.
Then we went back to the cafe and waited one by one for individual interviews.
He asked standard questions (see below) and it lasted about 20 mins.
I was there for almost 3 hours.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Name a time that you went out of your way to help someone
Simple questions about background and shifts I’d be able to work. If I’d ever done this type of work before. It was a short interview process that took about 30 minutes
The interview process was seamless, professional, and well-structured, with clear communication, respectful interaction, and supportive atmosphere, making the entire experience smooth, efficient, and encouraging for both candidate and interviewer. Not stress at all.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Tesco (Daventry, England) in Sept 2025
Interview
Easy and informal. Just a few questions about your life and a short assessment to show you what a normal day looks like as a warehouse operative. Then just fill out some documents, references, right to work, and that is.
