The first interview went well. The person I met with is new to the organization and was friendly, engaging and has a great personality. I left feeling like she did a great job selling and representing the company.
The second interview was with a panel - a stark difference between the first interviewer. They were cold, unprofessional, rude, distasteful, ill-prepared and down right rude.
The questions were basic and they acted as if this was their first time interviewing people, and that they didn't want to be there. I've never witnessed an interview like that and will caution other HR professionals not to apply and use this as an example of what not to do when interviewing candidates.
I left the interview feeling like I had been hazed and that this is a team of gossipy, unprofessional "mean girls," and definitely not the right fit or culture for me.
On my way out personal questions were asked about my family life. I'm assuming this was a way to pry knowing they could not ask during the interview.
You ladies really should look at how you represent the organization. Revamp your candidate experience so that it aligns with high performing organizations. You probably have missed out on great candidates due to your attitudes about them, biases and/or unprofessional behavior.
I never heard back from the recruiter. Rule #1 in developing a great candidate experience - always keep the candidate informed.
I see why this position has been posted several times.
