I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Edina, MN) in Jul 2008
Interview
Came in and waited for the manager to interview me. they were late. they asked questions. like why i wanted to work for target. I asked them what the turn over rate was for cashiers. i told them i though people usually would quite in six months. it kinda got the person upset. but they still hired me! they asked a question about working with a team. and a few questions about how comfortable you are with customers and people. and asked question about how often i ask for help.
Standard process, STAR method is good to use in interviews like this. Wear nice clothing not too dressed up not too formal and be friendly. Positive environment not super high pressure

There were a lot of people being interviewed together and it was long but to the point. The questions were direct but the process was long. Be prepared to be there for awhile.
