I applied in late October and did not hear from them for a while and I forgot about it. About a week ago, I got a call asking me if I was still interested and I said yes and a phone interview was set up. The questions asked were pretty easy, just remember to answer the question using STAR model (Situation, Task, Action, Result).
-Why do you want to work for Target?
-Tell me about your strength/weakness?
-Tell me about a time you worked in group, situation? result?
-Tell me about a time when you exceeded expectation.
After the phone interview, the recruiter said I'd hear back in 3-7 days. However, I got a call back the same day for an in-store interview.
The second interview was pretty straight forward and the questions were not different from the phone interview. But you have to complete a questionnaire before 1:1 interviews; it involves giving a situation were you have to decide the best and worst answer.
-Why target?
-If I asked your supervisor what your strengths are, what would he say?
-Tell me about a time you exceeded expectations?
-A mother was looking for a pair of shoes for her 3 year old son, but none were on the rack and they asked for help, what would you do?
-You were ringing up an item for a guest, the price showed it was $19.99, but the guest insisted that it was $17.99, what would you do?
I was offered the job on the spot, but there are no salary negotiations; its a minimum pay job.
