I applied through other source. I interviewed at Target (Apple Valley, MN) in Nov 2014
Interview
Very repetitive. Target is very big on the Situation-Behavior-Outcome format of interviews. This would be fine, but would be better executed in a group setting, as I was asked almost the same questions in each interview, but felt uncomfortable giving the same answers to different people, as I felt they were probably logged somewhere and I may miss a detail the second time I had mentioned the first, or vice versa. I also noticed in my time there, there is not really a difference in the interview questions I was asked, the interview questions I asked of team leader candidates, and the interview questions I would ask line level employees. Also, different jobs did not merit different questions, even though an overnight logistics position is obviously seeking different qualifications and mannerisms than a cashier, etc.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to balance two differing tasks? How did you determine which task to prioritize first? Did you complete them both on time?
Got the interview from a career fair. Met with one person who handled hiring and had a great conversation and had one other phone interview. Asked me relevant questions and I was excited about the role

What do you think would make you a good fit for this role?
I applied through university. I interviewed at Target (Charlotte, NC)
Interview
It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.
