I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Target (Minneapolis, MN) in Dec 2011
Interview
Daylong interview process at their headquarters. All employees were extremely friendly. You have 2 1 on 1 interview with senior level employees where you are asked behavioral based questions. Do your research on the company before and come in confident and prepared. Take the advice that your HR recruiter gives you in the e-mail that offers you the position as that is exactly how the interview goes. They do not try and trick you. Everything is very straightforward and what you should expect out of an interview with a leading fortune 500 retailer.

Question 1
Tell me a time you had difficulty communicating with someone?
It consisted of a phone screen with HR followed by 30-minute virtual interviews with three others. Overall, the process was pretty smooth. I was surprised there was no in-person portion.
