I applied online. I interviewed at Target in Oct 2025
Interview
I had three interview rounds and the overall process was smooth, transparent, and well organized. Even though I did not receive an offer, the interactions were professional, respectful, and a valuable learning experience.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Bengaluru) in Jun 2024

Pleasant discussion with HR recruiter who set up a time with a data scientist to discuss the role in more detail.
When it came time for the technical phone interview, it was extremely difficult to understand the person due to their thick accent. My ability to answer the questions were greatly impacted by the interview's thick Indian accent.
When the recruiter got back to me to discuss feedback from the interview, I was told that I knew nothing about the role I was applying to. Keep in mind I have PhD with extensive real world experience for the role I applied. Oh well, Target will fill the role with someone else who can more effectively communicate with a non-English speaking native.
The next day I was rejected for another similar role, presumably because of this one interviewer's inaccurate feedback.
Thank you Target for epitomizing "false negative" results in your hiring process!
