I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at State Farm (Akron, OH) in May 2017
Interview
I applied online, then I was invited to take an online assessment. Once the assessment was completed, I was emailed for a phone interview. This process was about a month, but I heard it usually doesn't take this long. The phone interview was about 15 minutes 10 questions. The basic customer service questions. Why they should choose you? Difficult customer etc....
I was told they have 40 phone interviews in the next 4 business days.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at State Farm in Jun 2012
Interview
Short interview - each State Farm office is individually owned so depending on the owner, the interview will be different. Interviewed for 3 different offices. The first one made me take a skills assessment test in English, Math, and E-mail Skills. Relatively easy tests, equivalent to taking the GED. Not a difficult test at all. Other than this, there was a interview in person where the agent spoke to me in length about my resume.

Can you explain why you volunteered at a hospital?
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at State Farm (New Orleans, LA)
Interview
It was a joke. The agent had no clue what she was doing. She made commitments that she could not keep. The agent had no idea how to interview anyone for how to screen for applicants. It was obvious that she was not cut out to be an agent.
