I applied in-person. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Starbucks in Jun 2012
Interview
After submitting the online application, I went into the store the next day in person to meet the store manager and was able to set up an interview within the next few days. The interview lasted 50 minutes. The manager talked about the expectations, the culture of Starbucks, the expected behavior of each worker, and then ended the interview by saying that she needed a six month commitment. Unfortunately, I was only looking for a seasonal part time job so I was unable to make the commitment. But otherwise, the manager was really nice and not intimidating.
Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
Easiest interview I've ever had. I was only asked 3 questions, 'tell me about yourself, what are your strengths & weaknesses, what is your availability?' Lasted about 10 minutes maximum
Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. We appreciate your input and are happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the interview process here at Starbucks.
it was great. I answered every question thoughtfully and easily. You have to have two interviews, one with the manager and one with the district manager. It is a in person interview. They ask many questions and will either hire you on the spot or you will have to call to see if you get the position.
