I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Starbucks in Jun 2010
Interview
You fill out a personality survey type deal online, then the store will call you to set up an interview. The interview consists of general questions - why do you want to work here, what about Starbucks do you like, do you have prior work experience, etc.? then there are questions where you're asked to describe situations of high stress, overcoming obstacles, etc.
You may get called back for the second interview which essentially means you're hired.
Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
Easiest interview I've ever had. I was only asked 3 questions, 'tell me about yourself, what are your strengths & weaknesses, what is your availability?' Lasted about 10 minutes maximum
Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. We appreciate your input and are happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the interview process here at Starbucks.
it was great. I answered every question thoughtfully and easily. You have to have two interviews, one with the manager and one with the district manager. It is a in person interview. They ask many questions and will either hire you on the spot or you will have to call to see if you get the position.
