I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Slalom (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2018
Interview
A bit weird, and unusual. The process here definitely leaves something to be desired, although discrimination in the process definitely makes it even worse. I interviewed for a position that writes code, but that wasn't part of the process. The phone interview seemed to go well enough. The in person interview was something else entirely. They never put me in a room with coders, which I thought was weird. I interviewed with several levels of management that day, as well. Usually that's a sign that, as long as you don't set the interviewers on fire, you can probably expect an offer. Instead, they turned me down, and rejected me for a made up reason [it was related to me not having a skill set that 1. I have, and 2. they never asked about], which gives off a real ... discrimination-y vibe. [The thing I would potentially be discriminated against over is very visible]

Question 1
I don't remember the exact questions, but despite interviewing as a coder, they asked me all architecture questions.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Slalom in May 2022
Interview
The recruiters were great. However, in my opinion, the tech screeners lost all interest once they saw that I am over 40. Additionally, the tech screening case was sent to me 20 minutes before the interview. To be fair, they might have been trying to gauge how well I can think on my toes, but I found that to be unusual.

Interview
First-round with HR, very helpful and friendly.
Two rounds of technical interviews, one is more focused on coding and CS knowledge in general, the other is more conversational with BQ and working experience.

Interview
I had a great interview process! Recruiter was very responsive and the people I interviewed with were awesome. I was told I got positive feedback from the interviewers but they aren’t hiring for the position until the find a director for the team. I feel like it was a way to tell me they aren’t interested.
