I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Slalom (Denver, CO) in Feb 2022
Most amazing hiring process I’ve experienced at any company. They made me feel so welcome, relaxed, and it was a true conversation rather than an interrogation. The recruiter Megan was extremely communicative and I did not feel out of the loop at all during the process. She set clear expectations about what each round of interviews would entail so I felt prepared (there were 5 total). So glad I joined this company!

Was easy and personable. Slalom is great at being human and easy to talk to. I had three rounds of interviews. Walked through portfolio and answere q and a. Was formal but informal
- How do you work with teams?

Anonymous Interview Candidate

During the first call with the recruiter, the conversation was focused on the candidate's previous work experience. However, the second call was more in-depth and centered around the candidate's familiarity with AWS services.
- How does AWS lambda work

Smug like you might expect consultants to be. Reserved, smug, kool aid drinking. They liked me but realized they wanted a purple unicorn candidate and I was great (but not perfect). I could actually tell HR was bummed because they saw me as a good fit and liked working with me. Ultimately, just like any place they mostly told me the culture was fine but everything ultimately came down to sales, sales, and more sales.
- I know we didn’t tell you this, but we have a case study for you….

3 - 4 rounds of interview. Very fast. Professional, friendly and encouraging atmosphere. The interviewers asked questions about the past experience, did a few case studies and ensured that my values are aligned with Slalom values.
- Tell me about your experience as a Product Manager

Multiple stages, each one with various levels in the hierarchy. Various questions from behavioural to technical regarding approach and strategy. 4 rounds of interviews. Pretty quick regarding feedback and follow up steps.
- How did you implement a strategy?

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Slalom
had a few rounds with senior directors, fairly casual conversation based. Mostly based around situational questions and how my approach would be to scenarios. I was able to answer based on my past experiences.
- How I deal with difficult client situations and managing teams.

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I interviewed at Slalom
Brief and there was questions about "Why slalom?" They were also asking questions about what your major was, and how you can see yourself fitting in to the environment. The interview was shorter only about 10 minutes

Probably the worst hiring experience I have ever encountered. Did a series of interviews and was offered a role. The Company reached out a month later about a role and said I would get an offer letter within a week. Nothing. I then reached out a month later and was told something will come in the new year. I would never work with a company that does things this way. Unacceptable and unprofessional!!
- Are you willing to work in other capacities other than an Agile Coach?

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I interviewed at Slalom
For the first round of interviews for an internship position, it was heavily behavioral and experience-based. I was asked about past work experience, projects, accomplishments, and "tell me about a time when..." scenarios. Also questions about why I wanted to work at the company. Very straight-forward.
- Tell me about one of your greatest accomplishments. Tell me about a difficult co-worker you've had in the past.

Anonymous Employee
I interviewed at Slalom
Standard interview - mostly behavioral with some case interview type questions. Team is very friendly and wants to understand who you are as a person and your approach to work/life.
- Why do you want to be a consultant?
