I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Securitas in Jun 2016
Interview
I applied for a job titled "supervisor". The job description including supervising one or more job sites, leads, officers and other company employees as required. Meeting with clients, awarding and disciplining officers, making work schedules, etc..
I was called in after a couple days for an interview. The office I had to go to was 50 miles one way.
In the interview, I was informed that the job I had applied for didn't actually exist. After I expressed my disbelief at having driven 100 miles round trip to interview for a job that didn't even exist, it was explained to me that corporate makes those job postings to get people in to interviews.
I did not get loud or rude. I did ask a lot of questions. This made the interviewer "uneasy", and I was actually escorted from the building at that point.
This wasted three hours of my time, not to mention the gas to travel 100 miles.
I applied online. I interviewed at Securitas (Virginia Beach, VA) in Feb 2026
Interview
They ask lots of question about your experience and how you handle things but overall it wasn’t that hard questions. They ask you if you have experience if so what did you use at the other company
I was contacted by phone and met with the recruiter. I had a 30-minute zoom interview with him. He told me at the end of the interview that he was going to recommend me to the hiring manager. He called the next day to let me know that another candidate was selected to move forward.

Question 1
Why I was interested in a career in security services
Phone interview. Easiest I've ever had. Basically, they were looking to fill a position as quickly as possible. Prompt response and pleasant recruiter. They actually were able to postpone my start date due to a family matter. They seem willing to work with their people to accommodate their needs to a point.
