The recruiter reached out to me a couple of times on LinkedIn. We had a 15-minute call. I interviewed with 5 other people for about an hour each, including the hiring manager, two people who would have been my subordinates (awkward much?), and other randoms. None of the questions were hard. It seemed like they were trying to get a feel of my personality more than understanding my expertise and what qualities I would bring to the team. The offer would have been for $100,000. Not sure if they were trying to lowball me. But that's much less than I make now, and not competitive. I was only interested in the interview because I never turn down an opportunity to network.
The recruiter called to give me feedback. She said the team felt I was frustrated in my role with the company I am currently at. I don't understand this feedback--as they continued to ask prying questions about my current role and how I handle so much chaos. Why ask if you don't want to know the truth? The amount of interviews were unnecessary and a complete waste of time--for a role and salary that's beneath me. The position has been open for over a year. That's telling. Beware.
