I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at SPINS (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2026
Interview
Initial screening interview with internal recruiter. Typical line of questioning: why SPINS, why are you looking to leave your job, take me through the highlights of your resume. Moved to next round of interview, which was a panel interview based on a case study that the candidate is given 4 business days to complete. They provide the raw data and tell you the output they expect. They only allow 4 content slides to convey the story. They give the candidate 45 minutes to present the findings to the interview panel. High expectations for this low level position at this pay scale. The hiring manager did not like the formatting of one of my slides, but I found it difficult to fit the story on 4 slides.

Application
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at SPINS (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2025
Interview
I was contacted two days after submitting my resume to schedule an interview. My screening video call was scheduled for Friday at 11:00 a.m. I sat down 30 minutes before to make sure I was in a good spot and noticed that the event had been rescheduled to Monday on my calendar. No email to ask if I was even available at the time they rescheduled my interview. The actual interview was fine, though it was apparent the recruiter was reading from a script. I was told that I would hear from him by Tuesday at the latest regarding next steps, but instead received a very generic rejection email a day later than promised. It becomes insulting when you take time to prepare for an interview, and the company you're interviewing for does not care to do the same. Nothing like prepping for an interview with an insights company that didn’t prep for me.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were not centered around the role, but instead listed the job duties and asked if it was the position for which you applied.
