      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ryder System (Houston, TX) in Mar 2021

      Interview

Initially contacted by Recruiter. Explained the job and it’s duties, pay etc. Second Interview with Hiring Manager total disaster unprofessional she didn’t ask any interview questions basically talked about other people who held the position before. Never ask a single question about me or what I could bring to the company 45 mins of wasted time basically tried to talk me out of the position. I recommend Ryder look into making changes to upper management that’s been employed 30 years + and talk badly about the position to potential employees.

      Rental Account Manager Interview

      6 Apr 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Ryder System (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2015

      Interview

Applied online, 2-3 days later a recruiter from Ryder contacted me to schedule a 30 minute phone interview with him later in the week. Spoke with the recruiter for close to an hour, asking me the typical STAR questions and went over my experience and resume. Overall, the conversation went extremely well and he was to get back to within a couple days once he could figure out a time for me to speak with the local manager. About 4 days later, I hear from the recruiter and we set up a time for me to have a phone interview with the local general manager a week later. Interview with the local manager went extremely well and lasted about an hour. He mentioned he was wanting to hire someone as soon as possible, but I was the 1st person he had interviewed. Also stated he was going out of the town the following week, but I would hear back from him or the recruiter shortly after. Initial recruiter phone interview was 2/24/2015... Phone interview with local manager was 3/3/15 He would be out of town the following week, and would get in touch with me within 10 days or so... After not hearing from them the last week of March, I e-mailed the recruiter to get a follow up due to having an offer from another employer I had interviewed with. Didn't mention I was accepting an offer, but just to get an update... the recruiter e-mailed me back saying the position had been passed to another recruiter, and she would be contacted me with an update. April 5th, and still haven't heard from anyone. Glad I accepted an offer elsewhere. Waste of time, don't bother applying--it seems like they just interview with no real motive.
