Rokt has been the most difficult company I have ever dealt with in my entire professional career. Please read the other reviews on Glassdoor about the culture of Rokt and the way that management acts. It was the most frustrating recruitment process I have ever dealt with. I will spell out the entire recruitment process from start to finish. During this whole interview process, I schedule an interview with a director of engineering to speak through the role, my motivations, ambitions, and goals of moving to a new company. We spoke extensively about my personal circumstance and how Rokt would be able to fit my needs and the requirements of the role. After almost 6 weeks of interviews, I was able to get to round 5, and an emotionless executive asked me personal questions about my situation, unrelated to the role. Additionally, I was asked to speak on circumstances I spoke about in my initial interview with a director of engineering and re-iterated my requirements for the role. Based on this re-iteration and other factors, I had initially brought up, I was rejected from the role. A whole 6 week, lengthy, and stressful interview process could have been avoided by proper communication. I would recommend that Rokt's executive team get some coaching about this and potentially figure out the appearance that Rokt is projecting outwards in the future. I cannot believe an organization that operates as they do, has the funding they receive.
I would recommend you steer clear of Rokt, with the tempting salary and stock options they offer. Lastly, I will add that there are some amazing people at Rokt. The reason I wanted to interview Rokt was because of the caliber of Engineers that they hire and the work they do. I was able to touch base with the director of engineering (after sending a strongly worded email) and ask him to provide feedback to me about the interview process. Only after sending that email did I get the opportunity to listen to feedback about the role and present my perspective. I thank that person for his time and professionalism but it seems like it was sorely lacking elsewhere in Rokt.
