The interview process was extremely relaxed and casual. Was introduced to a number of key team members who were open about their working environment and provided a comfort environment prior to the start of the interview process
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you approach a customer challenge and how would you assist in getting closure?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Riverbed Technology (New York, NY) in May 2022
Interview
Interview process first consisted of a meeting with an SE manager, Here they'd establish a baseline of who you are and why you are interested in the role. Next would be the technical competency interview, where you are asked a series of questions and tasked with providing technical details behind the questions; you may also be asked instead to elaborate on your background and stories from prior your prior career. Once these steps are complete, a panel interview follows in which you are asked to present to a group of senior-level management.

Question 1
Walk us through a typical engagement with your prospect? What questions do you ask, and how do you assist your sales exec counterpart?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at Riverbed Technology (Dallas, TX) in Aug 2011
Interview
Referred by existing employee. Received call from recruiter within 10 minutes of sending resumé - very impressive. Multiple interviews stretched out over several months due to vacations, etc, mostly over the phone although hiring manager did meet with me twice when he was in town. All interviewers (manager, peers, tech screening, director) were friendly and sold the company well.

Late in the interview process was asked about some very new products that came out after I had done my initial product research. Wasn't an issue, but made me feel unprepared.
