The first interview was with the Recruiter, who reached out directly. Average experience, simple information on the JD. The second interview was with the senior leader of product management. The first question is tell me about yourself and why you’re a good fit for this role. Two behavioral questions followed. What threw me off was he showed up 6 minutes late to the interview not acknowledging his tardiness. Midway through the interview, he then took a call “from his son’s school”. This was the second time I felt like he wasn’t prepared to take this interview and show any interest in taking this interview. I reached out to the recruiter a week later to see when I could expect an update on the next steps and was left in limbo for 24 days, with no acknowledgment of a tbd time frame for updates (regardless of the decision). I feel like the recruiters and management team can work on their professionalism better. This was one of the least organized companies I’ve interviewed under.
