      Technical Lead Interview

      30 Jun 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Quantum (London, England) in May 2025

      Interview

I interviewed for QiH in May 2025. The process started smoothly: recruiter screen, a call with the CTO, and a final on-site where we discussed past projects, test automation, and system design. I left the final interview feeling positive and was given encouraging feedback. After a week of silence, I followed up - only to get an out-of-office reply from the recruiter (it would have been helpful to know he was going away). Another week passed before I spoke to him. He said they really liked my interview but wanted to finish the process with other candidates first. I understood and said to keep me posted. Another week went by, and I was told I’d hear back by Friday. That was over two weeks ago. It’s now been six weeks since my final interview, and I’ve received no decision or follow-up. I’m disappointed. If a company can’t take the time to formally close the loop after a lengthy process, it raises questions about their respect for people’s time and effort. A simple “no” is better than being ghosted.

Thank you for taking the time to share your interview experience — we genuinely appreciate your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that you were left feeling disappointed after what sounded like a positive and engaged interview process. At QiH, we aim to treat every candidate with respect, clear communication, and timely updates — and it seems in this instance, something may have gone awry. While we try our best to keep candidates informed at every stage, it’s possible that there was a breakdown or delay in communication along the way — especially with overlapping timelines and internal scheduling. If so, we sincerely apologise. You absolutely deserved a definitive update, and we fully agree that closing the loop — even with a "no" — is far better than leaving someone in the dark. This feedback is being taken seriously and shared with our teams to help strengthen our follow-up process and avoid similar experiences for others. If you're open to it, we’d welcome the chance to continue the conversation privately. Please feel free to reach out to us at careers@qih-group.com. Thank you again, and we wish you all the very best in your continued search. Should the opportunity arise, we’d welcome the chance to reconnect in the future. Warm regards,
 QiH Talent Acquisition Team
