      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Procter & Gamble (Cincinnati, OH) in Aug 2011

      Interview

Typical STAR behavior-based interview with each question starting with "tell me about a time". One aspect that was interesting, and borderline inappropriate, was the probing of my personal life as to whether I was married with children. The questions were on the familiar subjects about leading, process, difficult situation and co-worker, and success. The main interviewer seemed very disinterested and pre-occupied, which made it extremely difficult to connect. The panel lasted, maybe, a half-hour and the rest of the day consisted of meeting current ABMs, a test (the P&GMAT), and concluded with a very nice tour. The people seem very engaged in their jobs. It also appears that groups move very often, in terms of building geography. We got to see the famed boardroom, as well as the "museum". The environment felt comfortably conservative. There is clearly a cloud of tradition, but this seems tempered by youth and the winds of changing market dynamics and opportunities. The promote from within philosophy is and will be a challenge for mid-career professionals, or career-switchers with substantial work experience.

      Interview

proceso fluido y sin problemas. entrevistadores de gran calidad y experiencia ya que hacian a uno sentirse comodo hablando. mas una conversacion que una entrevista. ademas las preguntas rondaban mas la personalidad

      Interview

The interview was a panel style and they asked scenario-based questions and behavioral questions. Remember to focus on being concise and to the point for your responses. Overall the interview panel was a good experience to build on my interviewing skils.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Procter & Gamble (Kyiv, Kyiv)

      Interview

Online application on the website with general information. Online test on general personal qualities (like “would you copy personal materials on the company printer”), followed by task solving test in the office (math and logical problem solving). Based on these results, the company decided on the level (managerial or specialist), which determines the further career vector. Specialist positions are more technical and execution-oriented. Managerial ones stipulate the people management or project management, strategic planning etc. After the tests we used to have 3 interviews with managers from different departments. Mostly behavior questions, like “have you been to the situation, when you had to violate the rules/law to solve the customers problem” or “tell me about the situation when everything didn’t work the last moment and you had to react spontaneously, how did you solve the problem?”. Funnily, the interviews that I personally found harder were the ones with people who appeared easy and kind, and felt more confident in interviews with more “serious” and demanding managers. Generally I would recommend to relax and just recall the stories from the life, and answer honestly. In the end the personal qualities and values matter for the company the most.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Recall the situation where you took part in discussion and proved your opinion right, while everyone had the opposite. Did you ever have to lie/ break rules to get what you need? When was the last time you met your school friends?
