      District Sales Leader Interview

      31 Jul 2024
      Anonymous employee
      Philadelphia, PA
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at PepsiCo in Dec 2009

      Interview

I got my first interview with Frito-Lay through my Career Center on campus. The first interview was basically a joke. I was so nervous but it turned out to be very laid back and the guy who interviewed me basically just talked about himself and the company the whole time. When I mentioned something about the internship I completed over the summer, he was confused and looked down at my resume and then said "I'm sorry I haven't even looked at this thing!" Wow. At the end, he asked me if I understood the position and if I was still interested. I said yes and I was moved onto the next interview. Next, I had a phone interview. It was very simple and asked general questions about my resume and experience. I got through to the next part of the interview process which was a route ride with a route sales rep. I had a good time with the guy and he really showed me the ins and outs of his job. That was probably the most beneficial part of the interview process because he showed me exactly who I'd be managing if I got the job. After the route ride, I probably had at least 3 more phone interviews. It was absolutely ridiculous to be honest. I was asked the exact same questions in every interview. In the end, I was asked to participate in a final interview in Birmingham, AL. They paid for all of my expenses and put me in a hotel for the night. I went through two pretty intense interviews in Birmingham and it was about a week or two before I heard back from them. A woman called me and told me that they weren't ready to make a decision about me yet and that they would give me another call back at the beginning of February to tell me their final decision (whether or not they were going to hire me). I have never heard back from Frito-Lay since then. I think that is a little ridiculous.

      Interview

I applied online. I interviewed at PepsiCo (Springfield, MO) in Aug 2024

      Interview

Very basic short phone interview, did not call at scheduled time and caught me during a run on a trail. There was a time zone difference by multiple hours causing confusion for the interviewer.
