      Software Development Manager Interview

      30 Jan 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Pearson

      Interview

Phone screen plus two group interviews. One group interview with technical staff, one group interview with line managers & HR. Quite a big gap between these stages. Fairly average experience, nothing special.

      Question 1

      3 Nov 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Sydney
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pearson (Sydney)

      Interview

No respect for candidate’s time and schedule. HR never followed through on the time schedule for initial phone screen. Even in the first interview, the interviewers came late and did not apologise to keep me waiting. Interview was a show of power where the interviewers had a very haughty attitude. No interview feedback received even after 3 weeks. Whole experience was very negative.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Pearson in Sept 2009

      Interview

Initially I was contacted by HR which asked to fill bunch of forms. They did the initial screening and after that hiring manager conducted the interview. The interview was both technical and non-technicals. They asked the reason to leave the current company and talked about the new ventures. I was finally in final 2 but did not get the offer because I didn't have more technical skills than the other person.
