Interview
I applied online and an internal recruiter contacted me the next day; I worked with him throughout the process. He did a 20 minute phone screen about why I wanted to do recruitment. They sent me a personality assessment to see how well you will do in a sales role. A few days later he called me back to set up a Skype interview (I was at college at the time) with a Manager and Senior Consultant. Talked to each person for about 30 minutes. The manager asked me a lot of the same questions as the phone screen about why I wanted to do recruitment. They want to see that this is actually a job you want to do and not applying just for the sake of the job. They're also looking to see what your key motivators are; they want people who are self motivated and money hungry. If you say you "want to help people" they most likely won't hire you. The Senior Recruitment Consultant then told me a lot about the role, what it takes to be successful, and gave advice and training for how to preform well in the interview process. Then I went in for a second round in their offices in Chicago (they have a great location and awesome views!). The Director of the office came in first to greet me and talk briefly, very casual. Then I met with the Associate Director and a Manager who lead a competency based interview where they asked me to "tell me about a time that you..." It was intense but they want to see how you handle yourself under pressure. I was told I was going to have to do role plays but I didn't. Then I had a desk sit with the Director and got to see the back office, which was cool, I was able to tell there was a lot of buzz and it was an energetic environment. I met a couple of other people and was out in a little over 2 hours. Then, a couple days later I had a Skype interview with the Manager who's team I would be joining and he just sold the job to me and I asked him a lot of questions. Finally, I had a Skype with the Executive Director who is out of Toronto and oversees Chicago. It was pretty laid back, he asked me why I wanted the job, my key motivators, and to give some examples of why I would be good at the job. Got an offer later that day. Long, intense process and I never really could tell where I stood throughout the process. They definitely have a poker face throughout the process.

wasted 2.5 hours of my life, very brief job hiring and they made me talked to 4 people which wasnt a problem but I stressed that I was interviewing for a full time grad job and they asked me to work as intern next week.... they made me do role plays (which i think usually wont happen until second round within the Recruitment industry) and they said if I do intern they will pay me 300/day for 10 hours.... NO THANKS
